Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is a primary job function for ALL P A Hutchison employees.
Our quality system is based on the ISO 9002 framework. Quality standards and critical in-process checks are in place for all manufacturing work centers. Inter-department defect feedback, quality audits and a corrective action process help to maintain a controlled process capable of yielding the high product quality that our customers expect.
A key commission of all manufacturing supervisors and lead operators is to review every job as it progresses through the production stages to ensure compliance with our quality system standards. A quality coordinator and the plant manager are responsible for maintaining and enforcing the quality system requirements throughout the facility.
Before performing any operation, employees must understand the value they are adding to the product and how to verify that a task meets specifications. Every employee has the authority to stop a job at any point in the process in order to address a quality concern. Our philosophy of operator verification empowers operators to become responsible and accountable for the work they produce.
